Pictured here, top, is a USPS preliminary design image for a Greetings From New York Stamp. Note the presence of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. Following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the USPS quickly removed the towers from the New York stamp design, as shown in the revised USPS image, bottom, which depicts the New York stamp as it likely will appear in actual Greetings From America panes.
